Side Effects of Generic Zocor (Simvastatin)

Get emergency medical assist if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction to Zocor: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Stop taking Zocor and call your physician at as soon as if you have any of these severe side effects:

unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness;
*

fever, unusual tiredness, and dark colored urine;
*

discomfort or burning once you urinate;
*

swelling, weight gain, urinating less than usual or not at all; or
*

nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes).

Much less severe Zocor side effects may possibly include:

*

headache;
*

mild muscle discomfort;
*

joint pain;
*

constipation;
*

mild nausea;
*

stomach discomfort or indigestion;
*

mild skin rash;
*

sleep difficulties (insomnia); or
*

cold symptoms for example stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat.
